Book Review:Shanghai Girls by Lisa See. I've been on the wait list at paperbackswap forever for this book and it was so worth the wait! The author also wrote Snow Flower and The Secret Fan, another great must read. This one is about 2 sisters living the good life in Shanghai with their lives before them when bankrupty, war, and family obiligations change the course. The heart of the story is the bond between these sisters but the story and history of the era behind that is just as interesting, as are the other characters. It is a fascinating, heartbreaking, must read.
