240/365

Saturday may have been the best day of Parker's life ever. Top ten for sure.

It started with lunch at McDonald's with his best friends. They were having some family fun activities from face painting to egg spoon races, not to mention he is always happy when he just gets to hang out with Michael and Savannah. After that we headed out to Angie and Roger's house to meet up before the Metamora Balloon Festival. Roger took the boys for a short golf cart ride down to their pond where there are hundreds of frogs! Parker was especially in heaven.

After some yummy pulled pork sandwiches we headed out to the festival. First up was the Helicopter marshmellow drop!

Then we headed to the playground, conviently located next to the beer tent. Utter brilliance. Roger was going for a helicopter ride by himself and we got to thinking, Parker could go with him and it'd only be $30, since we wouldn't have to pay for one of us. Luckily Roger was game and Parker was just bursting with excitement from start to finish. Hopefully it's something he'll always remember.

In the meantime, Cooper was melting down because I wasn't in his eyesight. Then John in all his wisdom thought hey, let's bring him over to watch Parker go up in a helicopter??!!! Yeah, that went good. I think he could actually be heard over the helicopter.

After all that excitement, we headed over to the hot air balloon launch site. It was the perfect evening, nice little breeze, no bugs, a cooler of refreshments, and a beautiful view.

Finally it was back to the house for a bonfire, smores, and the kids went inside and watched UP. Both conked out on the way home and slept in today!
