Book Review:the Condition by Jennifer Haigh

This book is about a family and how it dissolves after the daughter is diagnosed with Turner's Syndrome, a genetic condition that prevents maturing of the body. As you dive in though it's really about expectations and acceptance between parents, children, and siblings. It is a family of 5 and the chapters are broken down by the various family members which creates different perspectives, which I really liked. Worth the read!

My favorite quotes from the book:

"But love is like any other material. You can only lean on it so hard, for so long. Sooner or later it's going to give."

"Another missed opportunity. Toss it, if you can lift it, into the box of regrets."
