Book Review:Little Bee by Chris Cleave

From the back of the book:
This is the story of two women. Their lives collide one fateful day, and one of them has to make a terrible choice, the kind of choice we hope you never have to face. Two years later, they meet again-the story starts there...
Once you have read it, you'll want to tell your friends about it. When you do, please don't tell them what happens. The magic is in how the story unfolds.

Little Bee is a refuge and it is her story and a woman she randomly encounters that is told with narration alterating between the two. Little Bee will both break your heart with her story and amaze you with her strength. I did not find the ending predictable, but do not want to say anymore of course. Loved this book and highly recommend. It's one of those stories that stays with you for awhile even after you've finished it and you almost miss the character.

My favorite quote from it -
"...trouble is like the ocean. It covers two thirds of the world."
