190-192/365

We found out last minute that my parents cabin was going to be free for the weekend, which is extremly rare, so we took off Friday afternoon. It's right in between Oscoda and East Tawas.

Saturday we went to Negwegon State Park, 45minutes north of Oscoda. It is this very secluded beach set back on about 10-15minutes of dirt/sand roads. It was the hidden gem it claimed to be online and we will definitely be back! It was shallow for days and John and I could just kick back and relax while the boys played, it wasn't very busy at all, and the water was super clean and sandy. So relaxing...

On the way back to the cabin we stopped in Harrisville for dinner. Isn't this gorgeous?

Saturday morning we went to Lumbermen's Monument and had some fun playing along with a little trail walk to the sanddunes to climb and check out the view.

After lunch in town we headed out to East Tawas Point State Park for a few hours until a storm moved in. Parker loves this beach because of the water that pools inside there. He finds all kinds of things from tadpoles to fish. It's super windy and full of kitesurfers, so the view is always gorgeous as well.

It was so nice to get away! John and I even watched 3 movies since my parents have all the movie channels. We're really hoping to go back one more time!
